As part of the Unify Ukraine Campaign efforts, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appeared on Face the Nation Sunday, February 19th ahead of President Biden’s visit to Poland.
“Ukraine must win, and Russia must be defeated.”
The Prime Minister discussed the imperative of supporting peace by supporting Ukraine, and the unlikelihood of peace in the region if Russia wins because of the “Russkiy mir” colonialist attitude held by Putin. He expressed gratefulness at the support the US and NATO countries have provided to date, but also concerns on recent provocations by Russia that they are testing boundaries beyond Ukraine. The Prime Minister expressed ongoing support for Ukraine to lead any negotiations and define what terms and conditions are acceptable to them.
